Important notice regarding impersonator accounts

Over the past week and a half, someone has launched a significant online sabotage effort targeting this project. As of a few hours ago, this includes an Instagram account impersonating an advocacy page that is run by a member of RVA’s recovery community.

These efforts are unfolding in real time, so please be extremely cautious with any message you receive that appears to come from me or from any account appearing supportive of this project (that you don’t already interact with).

How to verify:
If you ever have any doubt, please reach out to me directly by phone at (804) 482-1276 or by email at christa@investigate-rva.com.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Update: On August 6, the real account was terminated. Any Instagram accounts still appearing to be affiliated with this project are fraudulent.

  1. Two new websites have also popped up, “parhampapers.com” and ‘investigaterva.com”. Interesting how both of these websites aim to discredit Christa as a journalist, but neither deny that what she’s written is anything other than facts.

  2. The Instagram account was removed. Erasing an advocate’s account is about control. Peak gaslighting. That account was active for over a year. About a week after Christa posted the update about the Bellinger’s, a social media removal group had it taken down.
